Henry W. White, Ph.D. is Professor (Emeritus) of Physics, University of Missouri, Columbia, MO (MU), and also President/CEO and a co-founder of Nanoparticle BioChem, Inc. (NBI). He has more than 80 refereed publications in experimental condensed matter physics that include magnetism, superconductivity, quantum electron tunneling, laser and optical spectroscopy, surface properties of solids, and semiconductors.

He was chair of the department of physics and astronomy for 15 years, and served as chief operating officer of the Missouri University Research Reactor in 1996.

NBI is a research and development company specializing in biocompatible nanoparticles, nanoparticulate antimicrobial agents, and specialty biochemicals. It was established December, 2004, as a spin-off company of MU. NBI core competencies include development of innovative pathways for the synthesis of a wide spectrum of gold, silver, palladium, iron oxide, and platinum nanoparticles and nano-bioconjugates and associated .
